OPI's Latest Polish Is Removing (Some Of) The Boring Part Of Gel Manicures

I love gel manicures. I pay for gel manis, I do my own at home with my Sensationail set, and I love the results. One thing that puts me off, though, is the removal process.

Namely, this is due to my own laziness, and I hate how my fingers feel after they've been wrapped up with gel remover for 15 minutes. My skin dries out and it takes (what feels like) forever. But, I just can't not love how efficient gel manicures are and how great they make your nails look, plus pretty much no chipping for a good fortnight. Yes please.

I've always been a big fan of OPI, but my love for them went through the roof when I saw that their newest products are taking half of the time and boredom out of gel manicures. ProHealth is a collection of base and top coats that, when used with OPI's GelColor polishes, promises to cut down gel polish removal time by half.

OPI's latest addition to the GelColor collection not only is cutting down removal time, but with the help of ProHealth technology, also guarantees no damage left behind from chemicals commonly found in gel removers, plus healthier looking nails.

Nobody knows too much else about the release, but it's been said that DJ and influencer Hannah Bronfman is on board as the face of the GelColor ProHealth Base and Top Coats collection, so we're sure that she'll be sharing plenty of details about the new release as and when they're ready to go public.

This is without a doubt a great way to reinvent the ever-popular gel manicure as we know it, so who can blame OPI for getting in on the action? OPI guru Suzi Weiss-Fischmann said to WWD: 'Gels have reinvigorated the salon business [...] the service isn't going away.'

We look forward to seeing what else comes next with OPI's ever-progressing nail technology.
