Clothes? Check. Cocktails? Check. Candy Floss? Check. This Fat Fashion Fair Is Kicking Off Summer In The Best Way

This isn’t the first – or the last time – that you’ll see us talking about the Anti Diet Riot Club, London’s very own curator of body positive events. Think talks, life drawing, even body positive yoga. And now, as we approach summer, clothing and confidence are two intrinsically linked aspects of a fat girl’s psyche. For some, it’s a doddle, and for some who are still on their journey to total body acceptance, summer often brings an indescribable level of dread. So what better way to start your summer off with a group of other fat babes and some plus size brands for the ultimate fat fashion fair?

A festival-style fashion market will be bringing a multitude of plus size, inclusive, and alternative brands from across the UK, giving fair-goers an experience that will kick-start their summers, catering to those especially above a UK size 14. Brands setting up shop at the event include Plus Equals, Gypsy East, plus the Anti Diet Riot Shop. But this isn’t just any old shopping day — the Fair also includes a clothing swap shop (so make sure you take something along to exchange with another fat babe), along with talks and workshops, photobooths, braiding and brow bars, cocktails, street food and more.

If all of that doesn't convince you, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet some of your favourite body positive influencers, including Lottie L’Amour, Megan Jayne Crabbe (aka Bodyposipanda), and Love From Danica.

Sound like your kind of thing? Early bird tickets are available for £2, but don’t panic if you don’t get round to booking – they’re also available on the door for £5. Anti Diet Riot Club Presents: The Anti Diet Riot Fair is coming to Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on Sunday 1st July.
